Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UNCCI) and the Pan African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PACCI) Refund Policy for the 6th Edition of the Prosperity Africa Conference – Exhibitors

1. Introduction

This Refund Policy provides the guidelines under which refunds may be requested and processed for online payments made by exhibitors for the 6th Edition of the Prosperity Africa Conference. This policy applies exclusively to exhibitor registration fees paid online and does not cover other expenses such as travel, accommodation, or any third-party services.

2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds will be considered under the following conditions:

2.1 Cancellation by the Exhibitor:

  • Before September 1, 2024: Full refund of the exhibitor fee, minus a 10% administrative processing fee.
  •  Between September 1st, 2024, and September 15th, 2024: 50% refund of the exhibitor fee.

After September 15th, 2024: No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after this date.

2.2 Event Cancellation:

  •  If the Prosperity Africa Conference is cancelled by the organizers, a full refund of the exhibitor fee will be issued to all registered exhibitors.

2.3 Significant Event Changes:

If there are major changes to the event’s date, location, or format that adversely affect the exhibitor’s ability to participate, refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by- case basis. Exhibitors must submit a written request detailing the impact of these changes.

3. Refund Request Procedure 3.1 Submission of Requests:

  •   Refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to accounts@chamberuganda.go.ug
  •   Requests must include the exhibitor’s name, payment reference number, and a detailed reason for the refund request.

3.2 Review and Processing Time:

  •  Refund requests will be reviewed within 10 business days of receipt.
  •  Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days and will be credited back to the

    original payment method used during registration.

    3.3 Processing Fees:

  • Refunds approved due to exhibitor cancellations will incur a 10% administrative processing fee.

No processing fees will be applied for refunds resulting from event cancellation by the organizers.

4. Non-Refundable Items 4.1 Additional Services:

Fees for additional services such as electrical hookups, internet access, booth customization, or other ancillary services are non-refundable once services have been contracted or rendered.

4.2 Third-Party Costs:

Costs incurred from third-party services such as travel, accommodation, or external contractors are not covered by this policy and are non-refundable.

5. Force Majeure

Refunds will not be issued if the event is cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of the organizers, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, acts of terrorism, government regulations, or other emergencies (force majeure).

7. Policy Updates

The organizers reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be communicated to exhibitors via email and will take effect immediately upon notification.
