China and Ethiopia enjoy a longstanding friendship. The bilateral relations have developed smoothly and fruitful results have been achieved through cooperation ever since the two countries established diplomatic ties. As two developing nations, China and Ethiopia have complementary economies and great potentials for cooperation.
In September of 2015, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn in Beijing. The top leaders of the two countries agreed to strengthen cooperation in areas such as infrastructure construction, human resource development, construction of industrial parks, integrated development of energy resources from upstream to downstream, investment and financing, boost Ethiopia’s industrialization process and independent sustainable development through production capacity cooperation, and build a model of the all-round upgrading of the friendly, mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation between China and Africa.
In order to further enhance the business cooperation among China, Ethiopia and other African nations, the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China will continue to hold (Africa) China Commodities, Technology & Services Expo (hereinafter referred to as the Expo) from November 12th to 14th 2015 in Addis Ababa.

The Expo will cover an area of 7000 square meters, with small agricultural machinery, leather processing machinery, food processing and packaging machinery, engineering machinery, automobiles and spare parts, hardware and construction materials, light industry consumption goods, home appliances and consumer electronics as well as products from the fields of electric power, rail transportation, petrochemicals, metallurgy and mining, construction materials, civil engineering and equipment technology as the main exhibits.
