Making Ethiopia a Sustainable and Competitive Manufacturing Location


The Pan African Chamber of Commerce and Industry [PACCI] and the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Association [ECCSA] is proud to present the 2016 Sustainable Manufacturing Conference organized under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mulatu Teshome, President of Federal Democartic Republic of Ethiopia  in Addis Ababa on 18-19, 2016 at the Sheraton Addis hotel. This conference is organized to set the tone for how manufacturing can be developed as an engine for economic growth and job creation through innovative business models, new technologies and strategic partnerships. The conference will also provide a platform to network and explore new manufacturing markets and products including assessment of market entry and expansion in Africa.

The conference is one of the most important and comprehensive manufacturing events senior policy makers and industry leaders from wide range of areas: garment, leather, agro processing, pharmaceuticals, automotive, equipment supplies, logistics etc. The key emerging manufacturing issues that will be discussed include, review of industrial policy of Ethiopia, finance for manufacturing, customs duty implications for manufacturing, understanding the benefit of Africa’s new free trade area grouping the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), East Africa Community (EAC) and Southern Africa Development Community(SADC).
